EU Negotiation Update

The Prime Minister had secured an agreement earlier this month to conclude the first part of our negotiations with the European Union which now allows us to move on to the next stage talks.  An update on the progress of negotiations can be seen here. 

Local Transport Improvements

I met with the Managing Director of the Underground for Transport for London, Mark Wild, today to outline our concerns over delays on the District line and hear about TfL's future plans for the area.

The Friends of Wimbledon Park and Justine will host a public meeting on 23rd November at 7pm at the Wimbledon Club to get your views on ideas for improving Wimbledon Park.

Possible strike action on South Western Railway

As you may know, the RMT union has announced its intention to hold strikes on South Western Railway on 8 and 9 November which would affect train services in our constituency.

This month I had several meetings to push forward projects to improve Putney High Street and the surrounding areas.

Road Safety on Putney Hill

Following an increase of letters and emails about road safety concerns in Putney, I leafletted the roads around Putney Hill to ask what residents thought could be improved. 

An Update for EU citizens in the UK

I wanted to provide an update on the Prime Minister's statement on the ongoing discussions surrounding the rights of EU citizens living in the UK, which I know is a hugely important issue to us all locally.  

Future jobs as part of Roehampton Regeneration

This month I met with officials from JobCentre Plus to get an update on how the roll out of Universal Credit will work locally.  If you ever have any concerns or problems locally with UC or any other benefits payments, do get in touch.
