Following meetings with local schools, my Thames Tunnel Community Liaison Working Group, and other residents, I launched a new campaign on plastics in our local area called the Putney Plastics Pledge, about cutting down our usage locally.
I chaired the first meeting of the Roehampton Playing Fields Community Trust with local residents and stakeholders including schools, to discuss the future of the playing fields at the top of Dover House Road.
Heathrow Airport Limited is holding a public consultation on proposals surrounding their expansion plans. They are required to do this as part of the Development Consent Order process, which is part of the National Infrastructure planning process.
This month I had the opportunity to 'Walk the Met' with members of our local police along Putney High Street to discuss ongoing crime problems in the area. We were also joined by Positively Putney, the new Putney Business Improvement District organisation, as Putney businesses identified crime -
Constituents regularly get in touch with me about the frequency and reliability of our train services, particularly at peak times into Waterloo. I recently met the Managing Director of South Western Railway, Andy Mellors, to discuss plans for improving these services.
Following concerns raised with me by residents on Dover House Road, at the Roehampton Forum meeting and in my MP inbox, I got in touch with Wandsworth Borough Council to discuss the proposed sale of the Roehampton Playing Fields.
