Update following TfL meeting on Hammersmith Bridge

I just wanted to update you on the public meeting I held the week before last with Transport for London on Hammersmith Bridge. It was very well attended, but I know some people who wanted to come were unable to attend so I thought a brief summary of our discussion would be helpful.

Petition to re-open Hammersmith Bridge

As many residents may know, Hammersmith and Fulham Council have had to take the decision to close the Hammersmith Bridge. The poor communication as to why the bridge is closed is unacceptable and has caused a lot of disruption for our local Roehampton community.

Clyde House Work Underway

There has been an ongoing issue with problems in flats, with heating system problems, leaks and faulty lifts at Clyde House alongside a range of other issues.

Heathrow Public Meeting

I held a public meeting on 20 February at the Community Church in Werter Road and was joined by three representatives from Heathrow, Councillor John Locker from Wandsworth Council and Paul McGuinness from the No Third Runway Coalition.

Heathrow Update

I wanted to update you on what I am doing on our local campaign against more aircraft noise from Heathrow and the third runway expansion plans. I will be holding a public meeting on Wednesday 20 February at 7pm at the Community Church in Werter Road, Putney. 

Rapid Rehousing Pathway to help rough sleeping in Wandsworth

Like many residents I have been very concerned about what we can do to help rough sleepers locally. I have raised my concerns with Ministers in the Department of Communities and Local Government about what more steps can help.

Roehampton Playing Fields Update

For the past year I've chaired the Roehampton Playing Fields Community Trust meetings. This is a group of local residents who have come together to form the Trust and develop plans for how the Roehampton playing fields could be better run with involvement from our local community.
